Memory Card Game
Memory is a card game that can be played with almost any number of players, depending on the size of the deck of cards! Gather around and test your skills!
Time: 10-30 minutes
Ages: 5 and up
Level: Easy
Materials
A deck of cards, or Word, a printer, scissors and rigid card to make your own deck.
Method
Shuffle a deck of cards, then lay each card face down on a flat surface in a grid pattern.
The first player then takes their turn to flip over any 2 cards, in an attempt to make a pair.
If the 2 cards are not a pair, the player flips them back over so they are face down. The next player takes a turn to flip two cards and try to make a pair.
If a player flips two of the same card, they remove those cards from the playing board and have another turn.
Continue playing until all of the pairs are found!
You can also make your own deck of cards with just about any images you want. Open a Word document and set up a table of 3x3 or 4x4 on each page. This will help set each image up to be on the same size cards.
Google some of your favourite images and place two of each image on the grid, then print and cut out. Or print a blanks grid and draw on youro wn images.
