Find It Game

It is fun to use recycled objects to keep kids entertained and this game requires a see through cylinder, some small toys and uncooked rice. This makes a great boredom buster for long car trips or maybe something to keep kids occupied when they wake up too early in the morning. This game is suitable for toddlers and older children - just hide some easy and some difficult objects according to the appropriate age group.



Step 1:

Take a see through cylinder and fill it with small colorful objects, suitable for hide and seek, such as small shells, screws or gum nuts.



Step 2:

Write down the number of objects and their color so that you remember what you've hidden and what to search for in your Find It cylinder. Then glue the label onto the outside of the cylinder. Some examples we wrote on our label were 5 red pearls, and 2 green buttons.



Step 3:

Next, fill the cylinder with uncooked rice, for the colorful objects to "hide" in.



Step 4:

Secure the lid with super strong tape and/or glue, so that it does not pop off in the middle of the game (you don't want all the uncooked rice to spill everywhere - ahhhh).



Step 5:

Now you are ready to begin the Find It game. One person asks the other to find some of the objects listed on the label. The "finder" then searches all through the rice grains to find the hidden object/s by turning the cylinder around and around (without taking off the lid at all). Then the players may swap turns if they wish to. Good Luck and have fun.
