Created by Joel Henriques, an artist and designer from Made By Joel , this fun activity of building paper city toy is a great way to enhance kids creativity and imagination.

Print out the template and color it

Simply print out the template from the website and get the kids to color it. Then, follow the line and fold accordingly to create creased lines for some contour. Now, play time begins.

Copy and paste the character to MS Word

If you would like to add some of the kids' favorite characters to the collection, find the image and paste it on Microsoft Word document. Copy and paste the similar image below the original one and flip it 180 degrees.

Similarly, print it, color it and cut it. Once it's folded in half, you'll have the image on the front and back.

How about creating a collection of Australian popular characters like the koalas? or Felix the cat?

Let the kids tell you their stories through their world of imagination and creativity. It's a fun way to spend time at home on a rainy day and not to mention how cost-effective it is.

It is also possible to scale down the image to create pocket-size paper city toy which comes handy to entertain the kids while traveling on long hours road trip.
