1) Chinese Garden of Friendship
The Chinese Garden of Friendship has been a mainstay on Sydney's tourist attractions list ever since it was first built. Nestled at the south end of Darling Harbour, the Chinese Garden of Friendship offes plenty of activities over the school holidays to keep the kids busy. The Emperor's Quest which allows the little ones to become Zodiac detectives for the day is available daily and is fun for adults as well.


2) Culture Beats
One of Darling Harbour's newest initiatives, Culture Beats is a series of free cultural festivals that highlight Australia's multicultrual nature. Featuring live music, delicious cuisines and performances; it'll be fun and informative for kids of all ages. The Brazillian (21st September) and Malaysian (28th September) festivals fall within range of the Spring school holidays.

3) SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
This amazing aquarium is worth the flight to sydney in itself. It is one of the world's largest aquariums with over 700 unique species of aquatic life and 13,000 animals in over six million litres of water.

4) Wild Life Sydney Zoo
Conveniently located right next to the aquarium, here's where you can continue your animal adventures. Featuring some of iconic Australian animals and unique habitats, the kids will love meeting the critters that call Australia home.


5)The Kid's Playground at Darling Quarter
I've written about it before but it's still there and it's still awesome. One of the coolest playgrounds I've ever seen, the range of play equipment on hand will have the kids playing until exhaustion.

Of course, Darling Harbour is also a fantastic place for adults with a range of gourmet restaurants , a vivid nightlife and family friendly accomodation .
