Equipment/resources: Imagination and the internet.
My boys love the Harry Potter books. After reading the first one, we planned a family movie night to watch the movie and compare the differences.
One of my sons asked if he could plan a Harry Potter themed meal to eat before the movie screening. He also wanted make some decorations for our dining area.

No Harry Potter movie night is complete without Butter Beer!
Instructions:
1. First thing we did was to search the internet for Harry Potter themed recipes. There are heaps of websites out there which provided us with great inspiration.

2. Once we had decided on a few recipes, then we made a shopping list and purchased the ingredients necessary.
3. We pulled out a few old Halloween decorations to decorate the table and also decided to make "floating candles" to hang on the ceiling. These were cheap, but time consuming to make.

We made floating candles out of paper.
4. Once the decorations were made and the table was set we got busy in the kitchen. We made pumpkin pasties, cheesy broomsticks, butter beer, licorice wands, chocolate frogs and of course Bertie Botts Beans!

Luckily these chocolate frogs didn't hop away!
5. After eating, we all sat down and watched Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. The kids loved it!

A feast fit for Harry, Ron and Hermione!
